Our Story
The family winery was founded in 2018 by the Egoyan couple in the village of Aratashen in the Ararat Valley.
Under the generous Armenian sun, our vineyards—planted with indigenous Armenian grape varieties, Areni and Voskehat—are filled with living nectar. Cool mountain breezes flow through the vines as if slowing down time, allowing each berry to ripen harmoniously and reveal the depth and character of this unique terroir.
Our vineyards are nestled in the heart of the Ararat Valley, at around 900 meters above sea level, where a unique terroir shapes the character of our wines. We cultivate indigenous Armenian grape varieties — Areni and Voskehat— treating each vine with care and following the principles of sustainable and environmentally responsible viticulture, preserving harmony with nature.
Today, Aratashen Winery has exemplary vineyards of Armenian endemic grape varieties, Areni and Voskehat, which expand every year.
The complete production chain of wine – from careful grape pressing, all the way to bottling – combines the ancient heritage of Armenian winemaking with innovative production approaches.
